Getting to Andros
from Nassau by Air
Most connections to Andros will be through Nassau and the main air company is Western Air, which has a variety of flight options for Nassau-Andros-Nassau. Flight time to Andros Town Airport (a.k.a. Fresh Creek) is only 12-15 minutes. Their aircrafts are 19-passenger Metros and the service is very reliable. Direct flights and charters are also available from Fort Lauderdale and Maimi, Florida on several airlines. Consult your travel agent to find the best deal.

Travel By "Bahamas fast ferries"
Bahamas Fast Ferries provides a fun alternative to air travel between Nassau and Fresh Creek on Andros, and with rates as low as $150 round-trip for 2 passengers, it can also be a savings. Departing from 
Potters Cay, Nassau, the ferry Sealink makes the trip to Andros in 2.5 hrs. The current schedule lists the departure time from Nassau as 8:00am, arriving in Andros at 10:30am. However, schedules are subject to change so be sure to confirm times with a Fast Ferries agent at (242) 323-2166.
Transfer to Big Charlie's Lodge
We will make sure a taxi is there to meet you at the airport upon arrival and return you in plenty of time for your return flight. Price for 2 people, one trip is $40.00, additional $3.00 for any extra person.

About Nassau Intl. Airport
Nassau's International Airport is divided into two sections: the Domestic Terminal and the International Terminal. They are located in different buildings and you have to go outside the International terminal (where you'll arrive) to make your connecting Domestic flight. Don't worry, the airport staff are used to dealing with the confusion and most any baggage handler or security personal will be happy to point the way. Just remember, you must clear Bahamas Customs with your luggage in Nassau before you make your connection or your luggage won't make it.
Important Travel Tips
- All U.S. citizens MUST now have a valid, current passport for entry/reentry to the United States.

- Try to schedule your arrival in Nassau as early as possible to avoid having to overnight there.
- Remember to save $15 for departure tax, unless it is already built into your ticket price.
